16. Lord of Bones/Thousands of Wildlings

Conversely, the deaths of thousands of wildlings at the hand of the Night’s King and his Army of the Dead was the opposite of a cleansing. Tormund Giantsbane kicked things off by beating the Lord of Bones to death, keeping the ball in Jon Snow’s court. But once the Massacre at Hardhome got rolling, and the living started dying before the unstoppable wights, it became clear that this was a fight the good guys couldn’t win, at least not yet.

And then of course, the Night’s King raised his arms, and all the dead stood up, tripling his forces in one battle. That hurt almost more than witnessing their slaughter.
