Game of Thrones Screencap Breakdown: Oathbreaker

The Montage Song from Team America: World Police would not be remiss here. But though the fight scenes were badass (again, only the GIF recap can do them justice), it was the scene where Arya’s confessing and letting go of her past that held my interest most.

Arya also learned to function blind so well that she can measure out and sort poisons into the correct jars.

Mischief managed.

My personal favorite detail of this shot: Arya is kneeling beneath the face of the weirwood tree. She and Bran have the same religion, even if they are thousands of miles apart.

We’ve seen girls drink from this fountain before, to their great detriment.

Turns out the way to survive on this show is to become No One. Does that mean, like Jon, Arya is losing the ability to die?

Speaking of Starks, how many non-book-readers even remembered Rickon and Osha existed? How many of them thought that this weird rude dude with a beard who was making fun of Ramsay had captured Nymphadora Tonks and stripped her of her wand?

People actually thought Jon might forgive them! Dude, I know he’s honorable. But he chopped off Janos Slynt’s HEAD. He’s not *spineless.*

But clearly, Jon has had just about enough of wasting his life in the Night’s Watch. Uncle Benjen was right. He’s now been given a second chance not to throw his life away just because he’s a depressed teenager whose “stepmother” (for lack of a better term) openly hates him.
