Game of Thrones Screencap Breakdown: “Battle of the Bastards”

This shot if Ramsay is important. This is him sitting on his horse right after tricking Jon into riding into the trap. He will sit here, on his horse, shot from various close up angles for the entirety of the battle.

Meanwhile, out in front, the first hail of arrows is coming for Jon.

There’s no help for it but to ride forward, out of their range.

This basically puts Jon alone directly in front of the opposing army. Much like Jon, Davos loses his head and orders the army to follow and protect their commander.

Oh, all that battle talk about patience and waiting was bull? Alrighty then!

Charge! etc.

This shot of the horses riding forward with the flags is so great. Just gorgeous.

Meanwhile, Jon rode his horse directly into the next wave of arrows, and it dies under him.

Yeah, that had to hurt.

But not as much as being trampled by this phalanx of horses will.
