So the next section of the fight is 100% from Jon’s perspective. These next 13 or so shots are all the best ones of his battle.

At every turn here, Jon is lucky. Horses miss him.

Swordsmen miss.

He is always just slightly faster than his opponents.

Arrows miss him.

Kit Harinton is like a deadly ballerina here. Watching in slow motion to grab the best shots, it’s apparent that filming this sequence was a heck of an aerobic work out.

Seriously, Crossfitters would envy this WOD.

Even when Jon is about to not be lucky, he gets lucky, as someone comes up behind him to save him.

But when Jon turns to tell him thank you and great job….

…their luck runs out.

This is where we first see Jon start to lose it, as he realizes his men are dying all around him.

All around him, the bodies are piling up. This becomes important later.

He’s also getting really filthy.

And really out of sorts.
