Cersei Lannister

Cersei-Lannister-Game-of-Thrones

Cersei has managed to do what no woman in the history of Westeros has managed to do*: become Ruler of the Seven Kingdoms, Queen of the Andals, and Protector of the Realm. Sorry, Dany—I know you wanted to be first, but Cersei was already there and it was just faster to get it over with. Someone punched through the glass ceiling and got all the cuts. You just have to step over the shards.

And yes, Cersei may have been crowned Queen at the end of Season 6, but I think everyone agrees that her reign will be much like life in Westeros: nasty, brutish, and short. It’s not a matter of if Cersei will die next year, it’s a matter of how and when. Will it be early and often? It all depends on how quickly Dany gets from Meereen to King’s Landing. The faster she moves, the less time the Queen of the Andals has. Will Cersei kill herself rather than be taken by the Dragon Queen? It seems like a choice she might make, considering what happened in the Battle of Blackwater back in Season 2. And if that doesn’t happen, her cup runneth over with enemies.

Will it be Tyrion, sneaking back into King’s Landing the same way he snuck out, or else at the lead of an invading army? Will he have his revenge and make all of Cersei’s nightmares come true? Will it be Jaime, slaying the Mad Queen the same way he slew the Mad King so many years ago? Or will it be Arya, swooping in and crossing another name off her list before riding out with Gendry while whistling “Another One Bites The Dust”?

Chance of survival: 0.01%
