“Bronze” Yohn Royce

“Bronze” Yohn Royce has been the face of the the Vale since Season 4, and commanded the Knights of the Vale when they pulled the Starks’ behinds out of the proverbial fire at the Battle of Winterfell. Last we saw him, he was in Winterfell’s Great Hall, none too pleased about the prospect of working with wildlings. Royce has always been dutiful, and unfailingly loyal to House Arryn. What’s more, he’s always quick to mention this. So where does this leave him going into Season 7?

If the Knights of the Vale remain at Winterfell, Royce will be on the front lines of the war with the White Walkers, which is not a safe place to be. Also, Royce has never seemed politically savvy, having been out-maneuvered by Littlefinger on more than one occasion. Again, that’s not a ticket to a long life in this world.

If the White Walkers make it south of the Wall, the bodies will start to hit the ground. And even without their help, Littlefinger may engineer Royce’s death if he starts to be a pain. None of this bodes well for him.
