Who’s going to die in Game of Thrones Season 7? Odds on 50 characters

Now here’s a character who probably isn’t going anywhere. Of the surviving original POV characters from A Game of Thrones, the ones still running around on screen are: Jon Snow, Sansa, Bran, Tyrion, Daenerys, and Arya. Now, the sentimentalist in me would like to believe that these “Six Survivors” are the same six who will see Winter through to the other side. But while some of them seem likely to survive, only one seems certain: Arya.

True, George R.R. Martin is devoted to following the story no matter where it takes him, and if that means killing characters we love, then that’s what it means. So, in that sense, Arya is no safer than anyone else.

However, it’s unlikely that we spent all that alone time Arya in Braavos just so she could quickly die when she got home. There’s more for her to do. Also, there’s a persistent rumor that Martin’s wife Parris loves Arya and threatened to divorce him if he killed her. Is that story genuine? Who knows, but it can’t hurt a girl’s chances.

Plus, Arya can take care of herself. She’s got a list, a mission, and a skillset that includes being a master of disguise. Did she steal that mask she used when she killed Walder Frey from the Faceless Men? Are they using her because her list suits their purpose? Will she reunite with Gendry and live happily ever after as Blacksmith and Assassin? There are a lot of questions about Arya’s role in Season 7, and none of them involve her death.
