Eddison “Dolorous Edd” Tollett

Dolorous Edd Official

Dolorous Edd is the acting Lord Commander of the Night’s Watch. Jon Snow quite literally thrust the duty upon him when he handed his commander’s cloak to Edd as he resigned his position and marched out of Castle Black.

Edd is a survivor. He lived through the White Walker attack on the Fist of the First Men, the mutiny at Craster’s Keep, the Battle of Castle Black, and the Massacre at Hardhome. He also proved his mettle after Jon Snow died by defending his body against Alliser Thorne and his followers. All the same, we fear that Edd may be the last man to hold the title of Lord Commander. Winter is here, the White Walkers are on their way, and Edd and his greatly reduced collection of black brothers are the first line of defense against them. Capable as he is, he’s probably not ready for that.

Anything can happen in Game of Thrones. But if the White Walkers breach the Wall, we don’t think think the remnants of the once-great Night’s Watch will serve as more than a speed bump on the White Walkers’ press southward. Unfortunately, Dolorous Edd stands little chance of seeing Season 8.

Chance of survival: 15%
