Who’s going to die in Game of Thrones Season 7? Odds on 50 characters

Gregor “the Mountain” Clegane 

Question: How do you kill that which has no life? Even before Gregor “The Mountain” Clegane was turned into a walking tank in golden armor, the man was nigh unkillable. Sure, the Red Viper of Dorne brought him low, but he couldn’t quite finish the job.

That’s not to say he’s completely unkillable. If Daenerys attacks King’s Landing as many of us hope, her dragons will reign fire and destruction upon the city. If Drogon were to swoop in and land on top of the Mountain and then bite him in half, that would certainly put an end to him.

But there are other possibilities. As one of my co-hosts on the Take the Black podcast once asked, what if Qyburn has control over the Mountain and commands the creature to help him escape the city once he sees how bad it’s going for Cersei? That could buy him some time.

But then again, what if, on the road, he and Qyburn run into Sandor Clegane and CLEGANBOWL GET HYPE ensues? Time over. In any case, I don’t see Gregor “The Mountain” Clegane making it out of Season 7 alive…or undead, or whatever. He’s a tough brute, but the show will only have so much use for him after Cersei’s inevitable downfall.
