Game of Thrones cast members take in a soccer match, and a character from Season 6 returns

The Game of Thrones cast members continue to receive a hero’s welcome in Seville, where filming on Season 7 is ongoing. That continued over the weekend, when the lot of them took in a local soccer match: Sevilla vs Barcelona. Check out pics and video below, or skip to the bottom for minor SPOILERS about a character from Season 6 returning for Season 7.

Cast members have been busy putting up images from their adventures of late. Just above, we’ve got an incident-filled photo from Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson (Gregor “the Mountain” Clegane). Besides Björnsson, gathered are Iain Glen (Jorah Mormont), Liam Cunningham (Davos Seaworth), Peter Dinklage (Tyrion Lannister), Gwendoline Christie (Brienne), Kit Harington (Jon Snow), Pilou Asbæk (Euron Greyjoy), Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (Jaime Lannister), and Anton Lesser (Qyburn). And also another gentleman. “Filming season 7 is ON!!” indeed.

And now, the game.

Basically, the cast and crew looked to have a great time.

Sevilla lost, incidentally, which is possibly why Clarke is aghast in the below photo.

Showrunner David Benioff is also exhibiting powerful concentration.

Meanwhile, Coster-Waldau and Asbæk watch the game attentively.

Coster-Waldau even uploaded a video. See the world as Jaime Lannister sees it.

Peter Dinklage was characteristically enthusiastic.

He seemed happier when taking a photo with a couple of his buddies.

And after the whole thing was over, the cast members were given personalized jerseys!

Here’s the cast and crew getting back on the bus to return to their hotel, receiving the standard Beatles in A Hard Day’s Night-like reception.

And finally, they return to the hotel:

Although the bulk of production activity is happening in Seville, the other cast members are still out and about. For example, here’s Sophie Turner attending a concert with Joe Jonas, naturally. Draw what conclusions you like from the photo, canoodling-wise.

And now, a small SPOILERWatchers on the Wall has it that Annette Hannah, a young actress who played one of Qyburn’s little birds in Game of Thrones Season 6 (this particular little bird is named Frances) is in Seville, meaning she’s returning for Season 7. That’s her in the Targaryen t-shirt below.

As the production is filming the Season 7 finale at the moment, odds are that Frances will show up in year’s final episode. And as we saw above, Anton Lesser is in the area, too. The last time Qyburn and his little birds appeared in a finale, they did some major damage. Are we in for a repeat?

Finally, check out a couple more photos from Seville featuring the two queens destined to fight for control of the Seven Kingdoms. It’s Lena Headey (Cersei Lannister) and Emilia Clarke in one place, together with HBO wig-master Candace Banks in the first photo and a fan in the second.

When Season 7 comes along, imagine a variation on this theme, but with both of them in elaborate wigs and a lot less happy to see each other.
