Game of Thrones meets Star Wars — 12 Actors who appear in both franchises

Max von Sydow played the Three-Eyed Raven in Game of Thrones season 6. He also played a strangely similar character — a wise, religious man named Lor San Tekka — in The Force Awakens.

A legendary actor with a long list of credits, von Sydow wasn’t in the Star Wars series for very long, but he did have a memorable line that was often quoted by journalists after Carrie Fisher’s death. As Lor San Tekka hands Poe Dameron a piece of a strategically important map, Poe tells him that “the General” has been after that particular piece for a long time. Lor San Tekka’s response is perfect: “Oh, the General? To me, she is royalty.”
