Yes, the guy who saves Davos and Tyrion from the Gold Cloaks is none other than Gendry, royal bastard, Arya’s former BFF, and champion oarsman.

Although we’re doing some speculating here, we’re guessing that Davos heads to King’s Landing specifically to find Gendry. Since all the Baratheons are dead, he’s a valuable commodity, particularly if a king or queen legitimizes him and installs him as the rightful leader of the Stormlands, which have traditionally been ruled by members of the Baratheon family. We believe Dany is thinking along those lines, because when actor Joe Dempsie showed back up on Itzurun Beach (the Dragonstone set), his wardrobe had gotten a lordly-looking upgrade.
