Daenerys fights the Lannisters in a huge battle
By this point, most seasons of Game of Thrones have at least one episode dominated by a knock-down, drag-out battle. In season 2, in was “Blackwater.” In season 4, it was “The Watchers on the Walls.” Season 5 had “Hardhome” and season 6 “Battle of the Bastards.” We don’t know what season 7’s big battle will be called yet, but we know it happens in Episode 4, it took a whopping 22 days to film, it takes up anywhere from a quarter to a third of the episode, and it involved hundreds of extras and over 100 horses, more than the Battle of the Bastards. It’s gonna be big.
This sequence was filmed mostly at el Barrueco de Arriba in Los Barruecos, essentially a national park in Spain. Until we know the official name, let’s call it the Battle of Los Barruecos. Here’s how it goes down:
Having sacked Highgarden, the Lannisters are marching back to King’s Landing, their new friends the Tarlys by their side.

But on their way, they’re ambushed by Daenerys and her Dothraki horde!

Not only that, but Daenerys rides into the ambush on a dragon, which can’t be good for the morale of the Lannister and Tarly soldiers. If only she could have come to the aid of the Tyrells before the Lannisters took Highgarden.
After that, it’s war:

Behold the grisly aftermath:
Notice that there are more Lannister dead than Dothraki dead, so it looks like Team Daenerys comes out on top.
Then there’s the matter of what to do with the prisoners…
Spoiler Alert!
