But perhaps the biggest Arya-related news of the season is that Arya will cast off her lone wolf reputation — at least for a little while — and head back to Winterfell. In season 6, fans were emotional when Sansa and Jon saw each other again for the first time since she set out with Ned to King’s Landing. Imagine what will happen when and if Jon reunites with Arya, his favorite little sister.

What we know: Last fall, the show filmed some stuff at Linen Mills Studio in Banbridge, Northern Ireland. The shoot featured many actors whose characters were at Winterfell at the end of season 6. Sophie Turner (Sansa) was spotted in a red wig alongside Kit Harington (Jon Snow)…

…breakout star Bella Ramsey (Lyanna Mormont) was on hand…

…as well as Aidan Gillen (Littlefinger).

Maisie Williams was there, too, and wearing a costume that recalls not only Jon’s leathers but echoes Robb Stark’s get-up during his time as King In The North. The outfit is distinctly Northern, and the fact that Arya is wearing a man’s fighting leathers suggests that she’ll no longer suffer to wear dresses.

The Arya who returns to Winterfell is very different from the one who left. Unfortunately, reports suggest that she and Sansa will clash over how to manage affairs in the North, and that Littlefinger, naturally, will try to drive a wedge further between them. That’s a combustible situation if we ever saw one.
