Jason Momoa

Game of Thrones’ early success could arguably be traced back to Joseph Jason Namakaeha Momoa’s performance as Khal Drogo, who became a breakout character almost immediately. Momoa’s earlier acting in shows like Baywatch and North Shore didn’t give him the recognition he deserved, but HBO saw something in him when it was casting Game of Thrones. Pretty soon, everyone was talking about him.

Unfortunately, Momoa’s run on GoT only lasted for 10 episodes, but in that time he made an impression on Hollywood.  He’s on track to have perhaps the bigger post-Game of Thrones career ever. This is not hyperbole — this is a fact. Momoa has traded in his Dothraki knives to become to a trident-wielding Aquaman, an important part of the DC Extended Universe movies. He first played the character in Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice. He’ll also show up in the new Justice League movie in 2017 and will get his own standalone film — just called Aquaman — in 2018.

For some actors, it doesn’t get any bigger than that, but that’s just the beginning for Momoa. He also has a leading role on the TV series Frontier and is rumored to be attached to the new remake of The Crow. The sky is the limit for this guy.

Peter Dinklage

If you didn’t already know who Peter Dinklage was before Game of Thrones, you weren’t watching enough television. Way before Game of Thrones came calling, Dinklage already had a very impressive resume. In 2003, he started making a name for himself with the critically acclaimed film The Station Agent. This film gave Dinklage his first in a long line of Screen Actors Guild nominations. He also had parts in television shows like Threshold and the controversial but binge-worthy Nip/Tuck.

Dinklage’s character, Tyrion Lannister, is still on the show, but Dinklage hasn’t been shy about taking on other projects. He’s recently appeared in fun movies like the animated films Ice Age: Continental Drift and Angry Birds. Dinklage is also jumping in on the superhero movie train. In 2014, he played resident bad guy Dr. Boulevard Trask in X-Men: Days of Future Past and now has a part in Avengers: Infinity War, although we’re not sure who it is. But with Marvel doing so many crossovers, we might see him again.

But first, a Lannister must pay his debts. You can rest assured that Dinklage is already locked in until the end of Game of Thrones. Afterwards, he can go as far as he wants to.
