Video: Sam and Jorah get disgusting
Apparently, all the gross scenes are going to happen in Oldtown this year. Last week, we had a lengthy montage of Samwell Tarly shoveling poop. This week…well, read on below, and beware plentiful SPOILERS.
Last week, Sam encountered Jorah Mormont while making the rounds at the Citadel sick bay. The knight, now infested with greyscale all over his body, was confined to a cell lest he infect anyone. This week, we got a clear look at just how bad the disease had gotten. Watch below.

Poor Jorah. Any hopes he had of curing the disease and rejoining his queen must seem pretty hopeless after that.
But all was not lost. Sam felt a kinship with Jorah after hearing that he was the son of his former Lord Commander, Jeor Mormont. So Sam snuck into Jorah’s cell to perform some experimental emergency surgery. It was a tense scene. I was a great scene. It was a disgusting scene. Watch it below.

And that cut to a bowl of food at the end — you can’t say this show doesn’t have a sense of humor, sick as it is.
