Halloween is Here: Check out the year’s best Game of Thrones costumes
It’s October 31, Halloween, when ghosts and ghouls and drunk people come out to celebrate the world of the living brushing up against the world of the dead.
It’s also the time for people to break out their fantastic Game of Thrones-themed costumes, which they did in spades over the weekend. Let’s check out some highlights.
Jon Snow and Daenerys Targaryen both had pivotal roles in the latest season of the show, and plenty of people honored them with costumes. Let’s start our journey with the Hall of Jon Snows:
These guys decided to go as the whole Stark family…
…while this one let the spirit of the night take him away:
And we can’t forget Jon’s pal Sam:
You’d best believe there’s also a Hall of Daenerys…es:
She dressed up a horse as Drogon. SHE DRESSED UP A HORSE AS DROGON.
Ahem. Also Business Khaleesi:
And emerging-out-of-the-flames Khaleesi:
And of course, plenty of couples were inspired by the pairing between the Mother of Dragons and the King in the North.
Trick or treating, partying…there’s no way these costumes weren’t hits.
As long as we’re on the subject of costumes for kids, get a load of Tiny Tyrion Lannister:

There’s also this father and son, who went to Stan Lee’s Los Angeles Comic Con as the Hound and the Pup:
The little guy even won the kid’s cosplay contest. And yes, I know this isn’t technically about Halloween but I don’t care because it’s incredible.
Finally, one dad fashioned a specialized costume for his wheelchair-bound son, per the Atlanta Journal Constitution. This year, he’ll get to cruise around as the Night King on the back of Zombie Viserion:
He’s not the only Knight King on offer. All hail the dark lord of all evil, below:
And in this one, it looks like the Night King has made common cause with the Children of the Forest. Tremble, ye mortals.

Even superstar Jason Derulo got in on the run, dressing up as the Night King to perform at Maxim Magazine’s Halloween party:

There’a also Kelly Ripa and Ryan Seacrest, who went as Daenerys Targaryen and Jaime Lannister respectively:

She may be thinking of Olenna Tyrell, frustrated she couldn’t whip her through the streets like she’d fantasized in her frequent and spectacularly unhealthy daydreams.

Elsewhere, we have a few interpretations of the dearly departed Petyr “Littlefinger” Baelish:
It’s one thing to say “Chaos is a ladder.” It’s another thing to be it:

We saw a few Jon Snow-Daenerys Targaryen couples costume above. But Brienne and Tormund was also a popular choice:

I’m a fan of the season 6-style Lady-of-Winterfell look myself.
