Who’s going to die in Game of Thrones season 8? Odds on every character

Jorah Mormont, you poor bastard. You poor, magnificent bastard. Despite initially serving Daenerys as a means to secure a pardon for his crimes and return to Westeros, Jorah quickly fell in love with the Mother of Dragons and spent the next six seasons following her around the world. Things looked bleak for the former lord of Bear Island as season 7 began, but a quick trip to the maester cured Jorah of his previously incurable grayscale. How did Jorah celebrate? By immediately heading north of the Wall on a suicide mission.

Still, Jorah survived to once again return to Dany’s side. But his luck can’t last forever. Like many members of Dany’s crew, Jorah is sure to find himself in the proverbial deep end of the pool during season 8. Between the Night King and Cersei, Dany has no lack for enemies, and Jorah is not a man to sit on the sidelines, especially when his queen is threatened.

Sadly, we’re guessing Jorah does not live to see Dany build the world she’s always going on about; he has “tragic hero” written all over his grizzled face. It might seems cruel for Jorah to so narrowly avoid death with grayscale only to perish later, but this is Game of Thrones, not Happy Days.
