Who’s going to die in Game of Thrones season 8? Odds on every character

If Bronn dies, I hope Jerome Flynn does what Samuel L. Jackson did in the Star Wars prequels. Jackson reportedly told director George Lucas that he did not want his character, Mace Windu, “going out like a bitch.” Accordingly, we got a scene where Chancellor Palpatine blasted Windu out a window with finger lightening.

If Bronn has to go, I hope it’s along those lines…throwing down with the Mountain, going one on one with a dragon, or pulling a Gandalf and not letting the Night King’s army pass. Something like that.

How likely is any of this to happen? Not very. Actually, I’m thinking that Bronn makes it through the series alive, although it’s possible my unabashed man crush is clouding my judgement. But Bronn is, at bottom, a survivor, and has a knack for picking the winning side in a fight. Plus, the writers can’t pay off all this talk about Bronn getting his own castle if he’s dead.

On the other hand, season 8 will be the most dangerous yet. Between the Night King making it south of the Wall, Cersei insisting on carrying on the war against Daenerys, and an overall lack of healthcare in Westeros, it’s not a great time to be a mercenary, even an upwardly mobile one. But I think Bronn is wily enough to survive what’s coming, if only just.
