The CW announces return dates for Arrowverse shows
The Arrowverse has taken its lumps over the last couple of weeks. With the coronavirus pandemic putting making work in Hollywood slow or impossible, The CW delayed the airing of new episodes of shows like The Flash?and DC’s?Legends of Tomorrow. Reruns ran instead, but it seems we will be getting to see the remainder of the completed episodes by the end of April. To get specific, The Flash?and?DC’s Legends of Tomorrow will air new episodes on Tuesday, April 21, while?Batwoman?and?Supergirl will return on Sunday, April 26.
Now, some of the shows did?not finish filming their current seasons, including?Supergirl,?Batwoman?and? The Flash, so we may be waiting a while longer to see how those turn out.?DC’s Legends of Tomorrow?did wrap on its season, but the jury is out on whether post-production can be completed while so many people are still home from work.
I’m unsure how The CW will tackle things once all completed episodes have aired, but at least they’re going to air the episodes they have. Some of these shows might find themselves in places like?Supernatural, which went on hiatus after airing one last new episode two Mondays back. The remaining seven episodes, including the series finale, will air later on, in a kind of bonus season.?It’s not an ideal situation, but I’m sure it will be worth it in the end.
While we’re uncertain of what the future holds, there is one thing Arrowverse fans?can get excited about: This week, The CW is going to re-air the epic crossover “Crisis on Infinite Earths” in place of the new episodes that would have originally aired. Not sure about all of you, but I’m so here to see Ezra Miller’s cameo on?The Flash?again.
