Ben Affleck talks playing Batman one last time in The Flash movie

Another day, another major star saying something about a hotly anticipated major movie they probably shouldn’t. This time it’s Ben Affleck, who talked to?Variety?about reprising his role as Bruce Wayne/Batman in the upcoming movie?The Flash?starring Ezra Miller.

?It was a really nice way to revisit that as the prior experience had been difficult,? Affleck said. ?This was really lovely. Really fun.?

I had a great time. I?m probably under some gag order that I?m not even aware that I probably just violated and I?m now going to be sued.

Probably. Who can tell?

Ben Affleck had a “difficult” time as Batman in?Justice League

If you’re wondering what Affleck means when he says his prior experience playing Batman was “difficult,” he’s referring to appeared as the Caped Crusader in?Justice League, which had a troubled production; director Zack Snyder had to leave partway through, only to be replaced with Joss Whedon. The new?Flash?movie is directed by?Andy Muschietti, and it sounds like things went more smoothly.??I love Ezra [Miller] and I had a chance to see Jason [Momoa], who?s over there making ?Aquaman [and the Lost Kingdom],?? Affleck said.

Unfortunately, this will probably be the last time Affleck will appear as Batman. (Michael Keaton will also reprise his role as Batman for the movie; there will be some multi-verse shenannigans going on.) The next mainline Batman movie will star Robert Pattinson in the main role, but at least?The Flash?will give fans a chance to say a proper goodbye to the Batfleck.

The Flash?is scheduled to come out in theaters on?November 4, 2022.
