Harry Gilby as…Daeron Targaryen
Daeron Targaryen is is the youngest child of King Viserys and Alicent Hightower, the one child the show has yet to introduce. In the books, he’s being fostered in Oldtown, which is likely why we haven’t seen him yet. But he does have a part to play in the wars to come, so we expect to meet him in season 2.
Harry Gilby is known for his roles in The Last Kingdom, Tolkien?and Just Charlie. Daeron Targaryen is described as a charismatic and confident young man, and Gilby can bring the youthful energy the part needs.
Gilby is already favorite to play Daeron Targaryen among the fans, so why not give them what they want?

Tom Hardy as…Hugh Hammer
Hugh Hammer is yet another dragonseed, a physically imposing figure with a temper and a lust for power. Tom Hardy is a highly respected actor with a lot of experience. He’s played a lot of very physical roles,?like Bane in The Dark Knight Rises and Max in Mad Max: Fury Road. And he could pull off the rage required for a character like Hugh Hammer.
Tom Hardy can pull off emotional depth, too, as when he played Alfie Solomons in Peaky Blinders. He could bring layers to a character like Hammer, who could come off as bland if played in a completely straightforward way.
Hardy is too famous to play this relatively minor character, but he’d be perfect, and this is our dreamcast, so in he goes.
