Leo Suter as… Lord Cregan Stark
Cregan?Stark is the current Lord of Winterfell during the Dance of the Dragons and head of House Stark. He is mentioned at the end of season 1, as Jacaerys Velaryon leaves Dragonstone for Winterfell to try and make an alliance with him.
Leo Suter is best known for his role as Harald Hardrada in?Vikings: Valhalla. There has been a rumor that he’s been cast to play the young Lord of Winterfell, though nothing has been confirmed at this time. Both Fabien Frankel (Ser Crispy Criston Cole) & Emma D?Arcy (Rhaenyra Targeryen) started following him on Instagram around the same time the rumor came out, which could mean he’s at least either being considered.
It’ll be amazing seeing a different Lord Stark sitting in Winterfell. Suter has the sword-fighting experience and period drama background needed to play someone like Cregan: a stern, driven lord who will probably recall the Starks we remember from?Game of Thrones.

Gayle Rankin as…Lady Jeyne Arryn
Lady Jeyne Arryn is the ruler of the Vale at the time of the Dance of the Dragons. Like Cregan Stark, she’s also already been mentioned on the show, albeit briefly; Daemon mentions wanting to petition her during Rhaenyra’s wedding to Laenor Velaryon in Episode 5.
Jeyne has had to fend off multiple challenges to her rule during her tenure as Lady of the Vale; all indications are that she’s a shrewd player who’s tough but fair. Rumor has it that Scottish actor Gayle Rankin — who has a fair amount of experience but is best known for playing pro wrestler Shiela the She-Wolf in the Netflix show?GLOW — is joining?House of the Dragon?for season 2. She has the grit and grace to bring Lady Jeyne memorably to life.
