Joffrey, Cersei, Walder Frey, Meryn Trant, Tywin Lannister, The Red Woman, Beric Dondarrion, Thoros of Myr, Illyn Payne, The Mountain, The Hound. These names have been a zen koan for Arya Stark, a talisman, a reminder of what she’s living for. Revenge. And though she’s doing her best to follow the rules at the House of Black and White, the moment she sees one of her targets, it’s like she just sees red, and never looks back.

But…good god, girl. Perhaps it’s for the best that Arya Stark is going to be trained to become no one, because the psychotic, animalistic murderess that emerges when she becomes herself again is a terrifying thing. The scene where she tortures and finally murders Trant is akin to something out of a Tarantino film, or Ramsey Bolton’s wet dreams. Maybe they should have married him to Real Arya instead…
