Check out Pics and Videos from the Final Day of Filming In Girona

The last day of filming in Girona has arrived. Although the production is slated to be in the city through Friday, the schedule lists September 16th as the final day for filming at both the steps of the Cathedral and the steps of Sant Feliu.

As filming winds down, photos of actors posing with fans are cropping up. Dean Charles Chapman made sure to strike a pose with several fans…

…while John Bradley and Hannah Murray are still quietly popping up around town.

We’ve also got a few fun odds and ends from yesterday, including, Diana Rigg in full costume as Oleanna Tyrell, being chauffered to the set, from El Biblionauta.

Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (Jaime) andEugene Simon (Lancel) were in full costume as well, and also spotted using modern transportation. It’s a bit disconcerting.

Here, Jaime practices his horseback riding skills before heading up the steps of the Cathedral.

This tweet notes that the horse that Jaime rode will also double as Dany’s horse when the show starts filming in Navarra.

There’s are also some videos of various stars floating around, including Diana Rigg and Nikolaj Coster-Waldau facing their adoring public.

And finally, Diari de Girona, which has faithfully covered every day that the show has been in residence in the city, has a few pictures of the extras and crowd scenes the show is filming today.

Catalonia Today notes that all this publicity has done wonders for the city. It estimates that the social media traffic involving Girona (which has gone through the roof recently) amounts to €3.6 million in free advertising. I’m sure officials in Girona are hoping to have the show back for Season 7.
