Harry Lloyd speaks again

In a recent interview with Steve Morriss for the new online British entertainment and fashion magazine Re-Bel, Game of Thrones’ Harry Lloyd continued his streak of online and in-print Q&A’s in what may seem to some as a stake to claim the coveted Most Often Interviewed Man in Britain title.

In the page 7 interview, Lloyd was of course asked about ‘Thrones’:

SM: You’ve also recently filmed a pilot for a new fantasy series with Sean Bean for HBO.

HL: Yes, and although it’s fantasy, it’s very grown-up, it’s got a big complicated ensemble cast like The Wire. It’s like a political thriller set in a ‘middle earth’ type world, but less magic and dwarves, more incest and kids getting killed, backstabbing and blackmail, lots of nasty power-hungry people doing horrible things to each other. I play the son of the previous king who was deposed by people like Sean Bean’s character. My character’s in exile and he’s trying to plan his invasion to reclaim the throne that’s rightfully his.

Fire And Blood: Par for the course as far as Harry Lloyd interviews go, and it’s always good to get the word out. I’m pleased Lloyd gives very little away, save perhaps the ‘incest’ line, and that’s been mentioned so many times through various media sources that it’s nearly old hat. One interesting note is that his view of Viserys makes him seem to be one of the good guys, or at least a very sympathetic character. Which, really, is how Viserys probably sees it. Still waiting for more interviews with other GoT actors, but until then I suppose our One Lloyd A Month habit will suffice.

Props to Elio at Westeros and his tweet for the heads up, and to Firestar267 for digging it out.
