Sophie Turner Sees the End of the World In X-Men: Apocalypse trailer
I should have known that when Sophie Turner posted this to her Instagram yesterday, it was a clue that the X-Men trailer was about to arrive.
Though one might also have taken it as a message from her Jean Grey self to her Sansa Stark-Lannister-Bolton self. (Or vice versa!) Instead, it was a sign that the X-Men: Apocalypse trailer was on the way.
Like all the X-Men movies, this is an ensemble piece, so the trailer spends a lot of time just making sure that everyone gets a second or three of face time. That Turner opens the trailer and is featured front and center suggests that she will be a major player, despite this being her first appearance in the franchise. Also, nice American accent.
The real question is if this will be her only go-round, or if Turner will find herself in the Jean Grey role over multiple installments. As you may remember, Peter Dinklage was front and center as the bad guy in X-Men: Days of Future Past, the last X-Men movie, but sadly that was a one-and-done role. Let’s hope that Turner can find a bit more sustainability, as well as luck, in her franchise crossover.
