Jonathan Freeman wins American Society of Cinematographers Award for “Valar Dohaeris”
The 28th Annual American Society of Cinematographers Awards were handed out this weekend and Jonathan Freeman took home the Outstanding Achievement Award in the one-hour episodic television category for his work on the Season 3 premiere of Game of Thrones, “Valar Dohaeris”!
Freeman is no stranger in this category has he has previously taken home the statue for Homeland Security in 2005, and Boardwalk Empire in 2011 and 2012. Freeman is also the Director of Photography for the upcoming Season 4 premiere of Game of Thrones, so here’s hoping for a similar post in one year’s time and a fifth statue for Freeman!
