Meeting the Cast of WIC Live: Bryan Forrest

Monday we will film the fifth episode of Winter is Coming Live. We’re really had a blast producing this show for the site and are diligently working to improve it and all the segments that go along with it, each week.

The hosts of the show are newcomers to the WIC community so we wanted to take some time to help our readers get to know them a little bit better. We got the chance to sit down with each cast member and asked them ten questions about themselves and of course, Game of Thrones.

1. Where did you grow up and how did you end up in LA?

SoCal native I grew up in Orange County in the suburbs. Days were filled with tree climbing, sword fighting and reading. I grew up in a math and science household so when I went to college I decided to become an actor, naturally. After graduation I moved to LA to become knight on camera who fought dragons from horse back, so far so good!

2. How did you first find out about Game of Thrones and when did you get into the series/books?

I had always heard of the books but I mostly read historical fictions like Hornblower and Sharpe series. I was seeing a lady who was obsessed with the show and invited me over to “watch”, I went over one night and ended up spending the whole night watching the show and looking up facts about the books. I have all the moves…

3. If you could have dinner with one character from the series, who would it be and why?

Ned Stark would have to be my date for the night. His history in the world, his knowledge of the first men, the fact that he is played by Sean Bean are all reasons why I feel like I would walk away from the meal a better and wiser man. Plus I would slip him a message in our bread pudding to not accept the job as hand of the king. Yeah I said it, we would have bread pudding for desert!

4. Old Daario or new Daario?

Old Daario! Although neither is as fly as the Daario in the books, I mean come on blue and gold facial hair people! Old Daario seemed like the perfect blend of lethalness and charismatic sex appeal to actually tempt Dany. New Daario seems to normal for such a role and although I support Adam on his affections for a beard brother I think the beard isn’t enough for him to actually get the job done.

5. What is your favorite moment from the series so far?

As a sword fighter and knight wanna-be I always get the most excited for the battle scenes. But I think what really keeps me coming back is the fact that such intimate moments and relationships are given time and attention in the show even with so much epicness surrounding them. I love all the shots of North of the Wall and Winterfell but because they set compelling characters in those settings and let them flourish its a real winning combo for me. My favorite interaction though has to be Tyrion’s tent when he Shae and Bronn get drunk together.

6. Of all the characters on the show, living or dead, who do you think would make the best King/Queen?

Tyrion or Bran, both have the family power, the knowledge of history and politics as well as charisma to secure the thrones. Although both of them are constantly fighting stigma’s about their physical attributes I believe those aspects of them have made them personally stronger and wiser as the must look at the big picture to accomplish their goals.

7. If you lived in the GOT universe, what would be your profession?

Nobleman’s son and heir to one of the main houses. Minus betraying my promise to marry, I think Robb Stark’s life would be mine. But add in Bran’s worg abilities! Sword fighting, fancy dancing and blacksmithing my own gear. So whatever combine position that allows me to do that up in the North.

8. What are some projects you are involved in outside of WIC Live?

I’m a bladesmith and assistant blacksmith in the hit series Man At Arms. Each episode we forge a real working version of iconic weapons from popular video games, TV, movies and comics! I am also on the Next Level Stunts team that put those weapons to the test in destroying all the soda and watermelons. I just wrapped season 3 of Freddy W’s show Video Game High School. Can’t say much yet but I play the lead antagonist, Ashley Barnstormer, and this season he and his Team Napalm are going to destroy all that VGHS holds dear, Muhahahaha, coming this fall! You can also see me live at the Labyrinth Masquerade Ball in July at the Park Plaza in Los Angeles. Presented by Sypher Arts Studios it is a fully immersive and interactive event in which I sword fight, act and operate giant mythological creature puppets. www.LabyrinthMask.com

9. If you lived in the GOT universe, which house would you belong to?

House Stark! My actual cultural heritage along with the fact that I grew up surrounded by Malamutes and wolves. I would also be at home with House Mormont on Bear Island. I’ve always been attracted to strong women and with the female warrior culture of bear island I would be very at home.

10. Prediction time: When the series is at an end, who do you think will be sitting on the Iron Throne?

As much as I’d love to see Tyrion on the throne I feel it’s going to be Dany. Her experiences have molded her into a much wiser and true ruler than any king for generations before her.
