Watch Kristian Nairn hilariously spoof his Game of Thrones role

Game of Thrones actor Kristian Nairn on his DJ tour Rave of Thrones

Kristian Nairn won’t be in this coming season of Game of Thrones, and while that may make us all very sad, never fear, because he’s got plenty of job opportunities. No, I’m not talking about his hit DJ tour, Rave of Thrones, because the man clearly has some serious acting skills. So serious in fact, that it’s earned him a spot in a major fast food chain commercial.

Obviously I’m only kidding, but this video of Nairn spoofing his own role as Hodor from Game of Thrones is absolutely hilarious. If you are a Hodorite, which I am, then this video is for you. Check it out.

Whenever – Game of Thrones

Let’s see, Hodor and Bran as ventriloquists. CHECK

Hodor and Bran as chefs. CHECK

Hodor and Bran as tag-team wrestlers. CHECK

And finally, Hodor and Bran as meth cooks. CHECK  What would they call that? Breaking Bran, or maybe Breaking Hodor?

Whenever, is a show on Comedy Central UK, in which it’s host, Jamie Strangroom, interviews celebs in a funny pop-up style. I asked him how the idea came to him and how was able to get Kristian Nairn to do the skit.

“The idea is a pop up chat show that we can make wherever and people can watch…’whenever’ There’s literally a team of three of us that make it independently for Comedy Central in the UK

First of all we asked Kristian if he’d be up for an interview to promote his ‘Rave of Thrones’ DJ tour, to which he said yes! Which then meant we had to come up with an idea, the obvious one is a play on the fact he only says “Hodor” in the series. But we also wanted to play with the idea that he won’t be in season 5, what will he do with his time? Of course we know it’s because he’ll be deejaying.

But we thought it’d fun to come up with some inappropriate jobs that he could do as Hodor…with Bran on back! “Hodor’s Gap Year” if you like”

Jamie also talked about Kristian Nairn keeping as tight-lipped as possible, in regards to Game of Thrones Season 5.

“Kris couldn’t comment or play along with this too much as his bosses at HBO might not be too impressed.”

Yeah, I’m not sure HBO would be too happy if Kristian Nairn dropped any kind of spoiler bombs on a comedy skit for Comedy Central.

Either way, the video is delightfully humorous and it’s always fun to see Game of Thrones actors not taking themselves too seriously. I think my favorite part, besides the Hodor and Bran photoshop pictures, was when Jamie handed him the huge glass of water, only to have it look normal in Kristian’s hands.

What did you think of the video? How badly are you going to miss Hodor in Season 5 of Game of Thrones? Let’s talk about it, in the comments below.
