HBO accidentally confirms April debut for Season 5

It was a throw away line in a press release for GAME OF THRONES®: THE EXHIBITION, but HBO has accidentally confirmed that the show is in fact *not* delayed, as several sites have been reporting, but is in fact returning in April as expected.

AND I QUOTE!

Visitors will journey to the top of the iconic 700ft Wall by stepping into a physical recreation of the Castle Black winch elevator and wearing the Oculus Rift virtual reality headset and a pair of headphones. From that moment on, they will find themselves inside a virtual version of the elevator – one that looks, sounds and feels extremely real, providing an unprecedented, immersive Game of Thrones experience.

The exhibition will showcase over 70 original artifacts used on set from seasons 1-4 plus select never-before-seen pieces from Season 5 premiering in April 2015.

HBO has thus far refused to confirm anything when directly asked, including about the February “Day In The Life” special that they have featured plain as day on their own schedule on the HBO.com website. Assumptions have been published on entertainment sites such as EW.com and Variety that the return date will be April (IGN goes as far as to just say April 5th, which is the first Sunday in April, and the traditional point for the show to premiere.)  HBOwatch estimates about 88 days in their current 2015 schedule post. But it looks like, with this accidental slip by the PR staff that we don’t have to worry about odd rumors of the show being delayed or anything like that.

Get excited! April is coming!
