HBO Canada takes over Ice Hotel in Quebec City for Season 4 DVD Launch
As we reported last month, The Hotel de Glace of Quebec City was chosen to host the launching of Game of Thrones Season 4 on DVD and Blu-ray. That exclusive media event occurred last week. Part of the festivities included working with the team from the Quebec Winter Carnival. (One of the world’s most popular winter carnivals.) Together, they created an ice replica of the Iron Throne. According to the press release lead ice sculptor Marc Lepire and his team created the Ice Throne in over 12 hours. It is currently on display at the site of the Winter Carnival in downtown Quebec City until February 11th.

The Season 4 DVDs will be hitting the shelves February 17th. The international trailer is here. You’ll be able to get them in either the regular “All Men Must Die” cover, or you can pledge your allegiance to your House of choice with the alternative covers, which will be sold exclusively through Best Buy.
