WiC’s two year anniversary
Has another year come and gone already? Seems like just yesterday the pilot was wrapping and we were all waiting with baited breath to hear if we would get the green light. We did, of course. And since then the Game of Thrones hype train has been steadily gaining steam. Yesterday we reached a pretty big milestone with Thrones getting its first real exposure to the general public (read: not just HBO subscribers).
We’ve been here since the beginning. Covering it all. Nearly 500 posts, over 50,000 comments, over 400,000 visitors and millions and millions of page views. This site has come a long way from its days as a simple blog on Blogspot. Thanks to all the passionate Thrones fans out there.
As we transition into the new year and the airing of the show gets closer and closer we want to continue to improve and evolve the site. Not just a simple blog anymore, the site has grown to become a resource for Thrones fans. And we want to continue that growth. And we would like feedback from the readers on what we can do to improve the site. What features would you like to see added to the site? What kind of improvements would you recommend? What do you love about the site? Hate about it? Any and all suggestions are welcomed!
This site has been a blast to run and maintain. And many thanks to Hear Me Roar and Fire and Blood for their help in reporting the news and rumors. And thanks of course to all you guys, your passionate discussions are what makes people keep coming back to this site multiple times a day. The reports and the discussions will continue to build as we get closer and closer to that long-awaited day next spring. I can’t wait!
