EW mag publishes 4 new photos

The latest issue of Entertainment Weekly magazine hit newsstands today and contains four all-new Game of Thrones photos. They include new shots of Cersei, Ned, and Tyrion. As well as our first glimpse of publicity photos containing Sansa, Arya, Ilyn and Jory. The four-page feature also includes some quotes from the producers and actors as well as a short plot summary.

Winter Is Coming: Due to copyright laws we are unable to post scans of the magazine here. So for those who can’t purchase EW in their country, we’re sorry. HBO has promised to release all the new photos on their website in high-resolution at some point, so have patience. For those who have seen the photos, I wanted to open this thread for everyone to share their thoughts.

Personally I think the new shots look great. I like Sansa (though her dress appears a little baggy for some reason) and Arya looks as tomboyish as one would expect. She also looks like she’s been crying, which would make sense as I believe this is the scene immediately after her and Joffrey’s confrontation. Ilyn looks intimidating, as he should. And Jory looks great as well.

All in all, a great piece (though pretty spoilerific, at least for events in the first episode). This will be many people’s first exposure to the series and based on the cover I expect they will sell a ton of these magazines. Which is a great thing for HBO and Game of Thrones.
