Three more roles filled

Martin has posted to his blog letting us know that three more roles have been filled and given us some clues to puzzle over.

Here’s a few hints for three more, not yet announced.

One has worked with dead men. One was not sacrificed by his father to a jealous god. One has worked with chemicals. One knew Dumbledore. One has worked with fairies. One is just a number, not a free man. One is a town in Nassau. One will wear sable. One will wear a birthday suit. One knows what lies between the pit of man’s fears and the summit of his knowledge. One has a small part. One has a SMALL part. One you’re never going to get, folks, sorry. Good luck with the other two.

Winter Is Coming: Seems like these may be a little tougher than the last few. For starters, we have to peg down what three roles he is referring to. Seems likely that he is talking about, at the very least, the Red Headed Whore (birthday suit) and the Nameless Eunuch (SMALL part). Current speculation has the third role being either Jory Cassel or Waymar Royce. If it is the latter, Paul Gude came up with the name Jamie Cambell Bower as a possibility. Still nothing has totally fit as nicely as the answers to the last few did, so other possibilities remain.

UPDATE: George has given us some more info about what remains to be cast, which changes some of our speculations:

A brief recap.

As of this writing, only three speaking roles remain to be filled. An offer is out on one, and we are waiting to see if the deal closes. Still looking for the other two.

The Nameless Eunuch has been written out.

In the pilot (though not, of course, the series), Rickon, Tommen, Myrcella, Ser Boros Blount, Ser Meryn Trant, Septa Mordane, Jory Cassel, Hullen, Vayon Poole, Jeyne Poole, Beth Cassel, and Hodor will all be non-speaking roles or “featured extras.” Some may not appear at all, or else will turn up only in the background. So don’t drive yourselves mad trying to figure out who will play those parts.

Just sayin’
