Amanda Peet Would Strip To Get on Game of Thrones
Poor Amanda Peet! Long ago, she was a decent actress with a career in her own right. Then she married this nice guy named David, and he had what she thought was a terrible idea for a show. The next thing you know, she can’t do an interview without being pigeonholed as “the wife of the producer of Game of Thrones.”
Once again, she’s out there, doing interviews for her role on the critically acclaimed show (if not all that terribly high in the ratings) Togetherness, and within a few question, the folks at Vulture were asking her about Game of Thrones.
And apparently Amanda has come around on the idea of the show, since it became a monster hit and attracts so much A list British talent. See what she had to say, below.
One of my colleagues was telling me every time she bumps into you, you have a conversation about how you want to be on Game of Thrones. Is that still going on? Can we expect to see you anytime soon?
I really wish that I could be on Game of Thrones … but so far … I can’t seem to convince them [creators David Benioff, Peet’s husband, and D.B. Weiss] to put me on the show. I told them I’ll take my clothes off … to no avail.
You told both of them?
I told Dan, D.B. Weiss, and David that I would take my clothes off. They looked very disturbed.
Well, I suppose when the woman doing sexposition in the scene is your wife, it suddenly takes on a very different aspect, doesn’t it?
