Game of Thrones Season 5: Introducing the Sand Snakes
Last season, Season 4 on Game of Thrones, fans were introduced to The Red Viper of Dorne Prince Oberyn Martell (Pedro Pascal), and his paramour, Ellaria Sand (Indira Varma). Prince Oberyn came to King’s Landing seeking revenge for the savage and brutal deaths of his sister Elia, and her two children. And, he would have had it too, if his hubris hadn’t got in the way.
This season, Prince Oberyn’s bastard daughters, the Sand Snakes, will take center stage when Jaime and Bronn travel to Dorne. Prince Oberyn’s daughters are looking to avenge their father’s death, which should make Jaime Lannister’s mission all the more difficult.

Obara (Keisha Castle-Hughes), Nymeria (Jessica Henwick), and Tyene (Rosabell Laurenti Sellers) each have taken on a unique trait from their father. Obara is a fierce warrior, Nymeria is beautiful and exceptionally cunning, and Tyene is a master with poisons.
In the books, Prince Oberyn has eight bastard daughters, with the eldest four taking on his traits. However, for the show’s purposes there will be only three. Obara with her spear, Nymeria with her whip, and Tyene with her daggers, should pose quite the threat to anyone who would stand in their way toward vengeance.
