The Ecomonics of Westeros
So just how is Westeros’ economy doing these days? Unlike here in the US, there aren’t five channels devoted to 24-hour business news, nor are there quarterly Fed announcements. Heck, half the Lannister family doesn’t even know their own coffers are empty.
Luckily, Business Insider is on hand to provide some guidance. It’s put together a video gathering data from the books to see what the economic forecast for the continent looks like.
Mild book based speculation ahead!
Although some of the speculation in this video is based on a chapter from A Dance with Dragons, most of it predicts things we could have guessed based on scenes from the show. Cersei is now solely in charge of King’s Landing. She may believe herself to be a clever ruler, but we’ve seen signs that suggest otherwise. How long until we see the Iron Bank come to demand its due?
