Game of Thrones Casting News: Rattleshirt Recast

The folks over at Watchers on the Wall have found a little nugget regarding a certain Lord of Bones, and his recasting. According to Spotlight.com, Ross O’Hennessy will be taking over the role previously held by Edward Dogliani in seasons 2 and 3. It also appears that Rattleshirt is only slated for one to two episodes, so his future is looking none too bright.

Find out more about O’Hennessy and another cast member confirmed for Season5, after the jump. Beware any SPOILERS!

We’ve all seen the trailer in which Rattleshirt is leading a wildling army toward Hardhome. There have been rumors and speculation that the Night’s King, portrayed by Richard Brake and who’s Season 5 return has been confirmed by his management company, Shepherd Management, will make an appearance at the battle with an army of Others (White Walkers) and wights at his back. Will this be the end for Rattleshirt?

What is Jon looking UP at? We know there will be giants at Hardhome—we’ve seen the artwork—but could Jon be looking up at the ridge where the Night’s King and his minions are set to rain death on Jon and the wildlings below?

From Shepherd Management:

“John Bradley reprises the role of ‘Samwell Tarly’ in Season 5 of the award-winning series GAME OF THRONES. Richard Brake will also be returning in his masked role…”

That masked role is not hard to identify. Now the proof in the pudding, as it were, will be if that rumor about the battle at Hardhome comes to pass. If it does, it would be a huge departure from the book, in a scene that is already diverting by having Jon Snow there. I guess we may really see if there are dead things in the water.
