Season 5: “High Sparrow” Trailer

With the end of every episode comes the trailer for the next. Today, we take a look at the trailer for “High Sparrow,” the third episode of the season. Curiously, the eponymous High Sparrow doesn’t actually appear in the trailer.

I suppose he doesn’t have to. After all, the episode is only named for him. So what do we see instead?

• Littlefinger and Sansa have reached their destination “West.” It looks to be a dark and stormy windswept plain. Perfect for plotting vengeance.
• A disembodied voice in the House of Black and White doesn’t seem pleased with Arya’s arrival, or that she paid the admittance fee “with a coin you never earned.”
• It’s good to see that Arya is going to get a new outfit, even if she’s also going to cry.
• There’s a fight going down in the Best Littlefinger Whorehouse in King’s Landing. We may not see the High Sparrow, but we do see his underlings in action.
• Meanwhile, the current High Septon is looking aggrieved and asking Cersei for “justice.” I don’t think he’ll find much….
• Stannis is clearly irritated at Jon Snow for getting himself appointed Lord Commander instead of running Winterfell and taking his rightful place as the headliner in a series of Stupid Jon Stark memes.
• A montage of all those who have it out for Jon as new Lord Commander.
• Speaking of Winterfell, we’re here, and the Boltons are in charge. What consequences could Roose be talking about?
• All men must serve. But as Dany would tell Arya if she were there, we are not men….
