Valar Morghulis: Who’s most likely to die in Game of Thrones Season 7?

11-20. Wun-Wun-smashing-that-dude-into-the-wall surprised
When you shoot a giant with a crossbow, what do you think is going to happen? We wouldn’t be surprised if any of these people kick it next year.
11. Jaime Lannister: 40%. Our feeling is that Jaime will survive until the end of the series, but if the Kingslayer tries to also become the Queenslayer, he could die in the attempt.
12. Olenna Tyrell: 40%. Olenna herself said she is not interested in survival, only vengeance. It’s hard for us to believe that someone as smart as Lady Olenna doesn’t get her heart’s desire, even if it costs her her life.
13. Meera Reed: 40%. Uncle Benjen rudely made off with the only horse after dumping Bran and Meera just north of the Wall. And if that’s not dangerous enough, Bran’s companions don’t tend to have long life spans.
14. Grey Worm: 35%. Even if Grey Worm somehow survives the showdown with Euron’s fleet we predict is coming, Dany will still be invading Westeros. That’s dangerous work.
15. Missandei: 30%. Missandei survived the death trap that was Meereen, but the full scale invasion of Westeros might be another thing entirely. Someone has to die during the course of Dany’s campaign, and we hope it’s not Missandei.
16. Davos Seaworth: 25%. It was much to our relief that Ser Davos survived Season 6, but Season 7 will likely focus on the White Walker’s invasion of the North, and Winterfell is likely to be a prime target.
17. The Sand Snakes: 25%. We wish we could put them higher on the list, but the Sand Snakes aren’t likely to lead the charge against House Lannister, as much as we’d like to see Ser Gregor crush their heads like he did their dad’s.
18. Ellaria Sand: 25%. Again, hopefully we are wrong about this, but Ellaria isn’t exactly a warrior. Maybe Qyburn’s little birds take out the Lady of Dorne?
19. Jorah Mormont: 20%. This one is hard to predict, because we aren’t even sure Ser Jorah will return for Season 7, or at all, but if he does, we’re pretty sure he’ll sacrifice himself in an attempt to save Daenerys from something. Or just die from greyscale. Sorry, old bear.
20. Tormund Giantsbane: 20%. Sorry to break the collective hearts of the internet, but we don’t see Tormund and Brienne settling down and running a farm somewhere. Tormund will continue to serve Jon Snow, and that’s a dangerous job.
21-30. Tywin-Lannister-sitting-on-the-toilet surprised.
It was surprising, but the way he treated his family had to come back and bite him sooner or later. If these characters died in Season 7, we’d raise an eyebrow.
21. The Hound: 15%. If the Hound does ride north with the rest of the Brotherhood Without Banners, they are likely riding into the biggest conflict Westeros has ever seen, and we could see the guy dying for real this time.
22. Bronn: 15%. We last saw Bronn arriving back in King’s Landing, where the Mad Queen just took charge. If Jaime does attempt to take down Cersei, Bronn could get caught in the crossfire.
23. Thoros of Myr: 15%. Similar to the Hound, if the Brotherhood rides north it will be riding straight into the war of the century. On the plus side, Jon could have a new Red Priest to replace Melisandre.
24. Beric Dondarrion: 15%. The leader of the Brotherhood has been living on borrowed time for years, and it’s hard to see him surviving the conflict with the White Walkers.
25. Edmure Tully: 15%. As we learned in the Season 6 finale, Edmure was once more confined to the Frey dungeons, but with Lord Walder dead, how long does he stay there? It wouldn’t be much of a shock if any of the surviving Freys murdered Edmure as part of some power play.
26. Varys: 15%. We wouldn’t normally rank the time-traveling eunuch this high on the list, but like Littlefinger, we believe Varys might finally be outsmarted in Season 7.
27. Brienne of Tarth: 15%. Brienne is likely headed straight back to Sansa at Winterfell, and should remain by Sansa’s side for the rest of the series. However, with the White Walkers coming, and Littlefinger remaining at Winterfell, things are more dangerous than they appear.
28. Podrick Payne: 15%. Everyone wants to hit a squire, Pod. Could that someone be Littlefinger after Pod gets back to Winterfell. We hope not.
29. Bran Stark: 10%. Bran will certainly survive long enough to at least deliver the news of Jon’s parentage to the new King in the North, but after that all bets are off.
30. Randyll Tarly: 10%. We’re not sure we’ll see Randyll again, but he seemed a patriotic sort. Might he help in the war against the White Walkers? If he does, he’s at risk.
31-40. Red-Wedding surprised
We would stake our life that these characters making it through Season 7.
31. Jon Snow: 9%. Things didn’t go so well for the last King in the North, but now that we learned who Jon’s parents are, we can’t see Jon dying again. If Jon is even his real name.
32. Samwell Tarly: 8%. Sam appears to have safely reached the Citadel, and although we doubt that offers much protection from his father, we still believe Sam appears to have some role to play.
33. Gilly (And little Sam): 5%. Where Gilly and little Sam will stay as the elder Sam studies at the Citadel is unclear, but the pair should be safe for Season 7, at least.
34. Lyanna Mormont: 5%. Show producers couldn’t possibly eliminate the breakout character of Season 6, could they? Could they?
35. Daenerys Targaryen: 5%. Dany is finally heading home to Westeros, something we waited six seasons for, and we can’t see her dying the same season she finally gets there. Most assume Dany somehow survives the series, even after the war with the White Walkers.
36. Arya Stark: 3%. Arya finally made it back to Westeros and is starting to cross more names off her list. Next in line? Probably Cersei. Also, Arya is likely to survive the series, being the favorite character of George R.R. Martin’s wife.
37. Dickon Tarly: 1%. Dickon seems to be an alright dude, and we don’t see the producers eliminating both Dickon and Randyll in the same season.
38. Sansa Stark: 1%. Yes, there will be tension between the Stark siblings in Season 7, but we doubt it leads to one of their deaths. Death from the White Walkers? That’s another story.
39. Tyrion Lannister: 1%. Our best guess has Tyrion surviving until the last season, so he’s safe for Season 7.
Do you agree with our choices? Did we get them completely wrong? Let us know!
