Podrick Payne

He might never be the world’s finest warrior, but my money’s on a long and happy life for our Podrick Payne. Well, after the White Walkers are vanquished, anyway.
Call me an optimist—hell, call me naive—but you can’t show a war without at least touching on the aftereffects. That means healing and rebuilding, and Podrick is made for that stuff. He’s uncommonly kind, unflaggingly loyal, and he knows more than meets the eye. He’s spent his life at court and knows how it works, but is no stranger to roughing it. After humanity is done furiously defending itself against the White Walkers, he’s the guy you want picking up the pieces.
Not everyone can live through this, but not everyone can die, either. If all the secondary characters—or those who, for whatever reason, can’t fight the White Walkers—died, then what would be left when the fighting’s done? What would have been the point of the whole series? Personally, I’d feel cheated. Some of the good guys are bound to stick around. My bet is that Podrick will be one of them.
Chance of survival: 80%
