Our favorite foul-mouthed mercenary with a mouth has survived far longer than anyone could have guessed when the series began. Still, Bronn remains one of the harder picks to make. On the one hand, he’s hanging around the Lannisters. That’s never good for your safety. But on the other hand, despite his humble origins, Bronn has demonstrated time and again that he’s one of the most savvy players in the game. He’s traded up and up to the point where he almost became a nobleman with his own castle, before Jaime Fookin’ Lannister arrived and ruined everything.
And while Bronn isn’t very important to the show’s overall narrative, the producers have picked up on the audience’s love for the character and inserted him into storylines where he had no part in the books (e.g. Jaime’s trip to Dorne and the siege of Riverrun). They’re clearly fond of him, which can’t hurt his chances.
Season 7 is likely to be a bloodbath, but one we see Bronn surviving, and possibly even walking away unscathed. We just cant see him charging into a no-win situation, so if Daenerys comes marching on King’s Landing with an army far bigger than Cersei’s, look for him to either flee or rejoin his former employer: Tyrion Lannister.
