Game of Thrones 2017 preview: What’s on the way this year

Which characters are reuniting? Who’s meeting for the first time?

Like Seasons 5 and 6, Season 7 promises to be full of reunions and first-time meetings between major characters. For example, we already know Joe Dempsie is back on the roster as Gendry. Based on the before fan photo snapped in Iceland, he could be meeting back up with the Brotherhood Without Banners—that’s Paul Kaye, aka Thoros of Myr, standing next to him.

But back in October, Dempsie was also sighted on Muriola Beach in Barrika, Spain, filming a scene with with Peter Dinklage (Tyrion Lannister) and Liam Cunningham (Davos Seaworth).

So Gendry will meet back up with Davos, the man who saved him from death on Dragonstone, and Tyrion will meet the both of them for the first time. How will Davos treat the man whose wildfire ploy killed his son Matthos back in Season 2’s “Blackwater?” Wait and see.

Another reunion happening in Season 7: Jon Snow (Kit Harington) and Theon Greyjoy (Alfie Allen), who haven’t laid eyes on each other since Season 1. As these shots from Ituzen Beach in Zumaia show, the reunion is a rough one.

I guess Jon hasn’t totally forgiving Theon for betraying Robb and occupying Winterfell back in Season 2.
