Winter is Coming Live—Hardhome

“Hardhome” was a weird, wild episode of Game of Thrones, and friendly neighborhood Thrones fans Adam Rady, Alison Haislip, and Xavier Brinkman are here to talk you through it. It’s WiC Live, and it’s happening.

As always, we’ve broken the episode down into manageable chunks that can be quickly consumed while you cower in fear of the coming White Walker onslaught. Last night’s big battle scene drew most of the attention, and deservedly so, but “Hardhome” had quite a bit more going on. For example, the gang discusses how much satisfaction they’re drawing from Cersei’s ongoing imprisonment.

We’re coming up on the end of the season here, which means one thing: death’s coming for some major characters. This is Game of Thrones, after all. The panel discusses who might bite it by the finale.

Next, a morbid question: who’s your favorite killer on the show? A follow-up question from me: should we be concerned that everyone discusses this issue so cheerily?

Sometimes, it’s fun to imagine yourself in the place of your favorite characters and consider what you would have done in a similar situation. It’s doubtful many people were thinking that last night, as the characters did battle with wave after wave of undead monsters. Still, the WiC Live panelists let their imaginations boldly go where few have gone before, and asked themselves what they would have done if faced with the army of the dead.

Finally, the team answers a question from a fan about the whereabouts of Benjen Stark, last seen leaving the Wall way back in Season 1. Did anyone expect him to turn up among the wights?

And that’s our episode for this week. Thanks to Adam, Alison, and Xavier for their thoughts, Entertainment Weekly for sponsoring the show, and you guys for sending us questions—keep tweeting them to #WiC, before, during, and after the episode!
