Season 5: “Mother’s Mercy” Trailer

With the end of every episode comes the “Next Time” trailer. It’s the last one of the season, and with the aftermaths of both “Hardhome” and “The Dance of Dragons” to get through, we’re going to have a tightly packed episode with “Mother’s Mercy.” Once more, there’s a lot of stuff the show kept under wraps (or tried to), so we haven’t really seen any of this footage before.

Let’s break it all down and figure out what we’re going to be seeing for our final installment of 2015.

• A gorgeous painterly landscape somewhere very far from civilization, with a single person standing high atop a cliff. I’m going to guess this is where Drogon and Dany landed.
• Tyrion, Jorah and Daario, in a now-abandoned throne room. What is their next move?
• What is Jon going to do? About anything really? It’s a philosophical question, but I’m guessing it’s really about Davos’ arrival and demands.
• Poor Cersei. She looks broken.
• Jaime’s voiceover of “we don’t choose who we love.” Are the two of them really about to go public?
• Oh look, Melisandre got her snow melt. I’m sure that was worth sacrificing Shireen, aren’t you?
• The siege begins at sunrise. Please let it end with Ramsay’s head on a spike.
• Arya’s gone face shopping!
• Brienne and Pod, turning up just when it’s going to be the most awkward. Someone needs to have a quick sit down and make sure Brienne knows she’s not to kill Stannis until after Ramsay’s been done in.
• So is Sansa about to rebel? Escape? I’m going with the latter, which will only make Brienne’s choice more difficult.
