14. The Dornish Armor

After season after season of warriors in metal armor embossed with the crests of their houses, one of the best choices made for Dorne this season was having the casual solider wear something radically different. The suits of metal armor are very stereotypical of European fantasy, so going with the thickly padded fabric of historical armor from India and South Asia did more to give this region an exotic flavor than any actor attempting to ape Pedro Pascal’s accent ever could. It also allowed the stunt men to fight in a way closer to Oberyn’s dancer style than metal armor would have allowed.
