22 4 Myrcella

4. Myrcella’s Dornish Gowns

Speaking of striking looks, number four brings us to Cersei’s daughter, Myrcella. The choice to put Dornish women in incredibly lightweight chiffon gowns after all the heavy brocades of the northern regions of Westeros was quite a head-turner, and these sorts of gowns were never more striking then when worn by the blonde princess from King’s Landing. They not only made her look like a romantic princess out of a fairy tale, but they was a huge visual break from the gowns she wore before, which were carbon copies of her mother’s look. These gownsthe pink above and the yellow from other episodesspoke volumes not only about the different culture she was in now, but about how wholeheartedly she had adopted it. By the time Jaime found her, Myrcella was no longer her mother’s mini-me. Too bad that, in the end, she was still too trusting of the family she was trying to embrace.
