Gwendoline Christie

as Brienne of Tarth

IMDb | Wikipedia

Character Overview: Brienne of Tarth is the only daughter and heiress of Lord Selwyn Tarth of Evenfall Hall; she had three siblings, none of which survived childhood. Larger and stronger than most men, Brienne is a skilled warrior and longs to be a knight. – A Wiki of Ice & Fire

Recent Events: Brienne was fiercely loyal to Renly Baratheon (partly because she was in love with him), but is forced to flee with Catelyn Stark when the two are found in his tent when he is murdered. Thereafter, Brienne swears fealty to Catelyn, and her subsequent actions stem from efforts to uphold her word to the lady Stark. She first accompanies Jaime Lannister back to his family in King’s Landing; during this journey, she learns the truth behind the legend of Jaime’s actions in the last moments of the Mad King’s life. Afterward, Jaime entreats her to find the Stark sisters (Arya having been missing since her father’s beheading, Sansa recently escaped in the chaos of Joffrey’s wedding) as a means of upholding Catelyn’s honor. Together with Tyrion’s former squire Podrick Payne, she finally stumbles upon Arya traveling with Sandor Clegane, but loses her during an ensuing scuffle with the Hound.
