Actor Bio: Ian McElhinney (62) is a Northern Irish top actor with stage, movie, and TV experience. As far as period pieces go, you may have last seen him as Pope Clement VII in the first season of The Tudors, and when it comes to more fantastical works, he was in City of Ember shot in the very same Paint Hall studios Game of Thrones is filming. He was also playing Captain Hammond in the Hornblower TV movies, and appeared in recurring roles in several British series, including Queer as Folk alongside Aidan Gillen (Littlefinger) as his son, and Cold Feet.
